2023 Annual Report

SCCH has seen remarkable changes in its first 49 years. We opened our doors in 1974 against the tumultuous backdrop of the women’s movement and the passing of Roe vs. Wade. Thanks to our Founding Mothers, most of whom were UCSC students at the time, the Santa Cruz Women’s Health Center opened to meet the health needs of women. Since then, our feminist values have helped guide us through an ever-changing health care landscape, always committing to justice, equity, and power-sharing with everyone we serve no matter their gender identity, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, income, or any other circumstance.
