I raised up in Boulder Creek in a small indigenous community. I came from a family of wood cutters. I am a proud parent of five children, all born and raised in Santa Cruz, two of them have autism. I’ve worked with Native American father and families association. I studied criminal justice and interned in the probation department of Inyo county. I teach cultural dance and crafting in the Santa Cruz community. I work with schools teaching kids correct history of indigenous people. I am working on changing school policy for the mission project for 5th graders. I believe it is not how high you rise, it is how many you bring with you.
