Jill Winters, LCSW, PPSC

Jill Winters, LCSW, PPSC (she, her, hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined Santa Cruz Community Health in 2014. Jill earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCSC in community studies and women’s studies in 2000, and her Master of Social Work and Pupil Personnel Services credential from SFSU in 2008. In the mid-1990s, Jill found her calling to social work during her academic field study at the former Santa Cruz AIDS project where she learned that people have various health outcomes directly linked to social determinants and disparities in the health care system. Since then, she has provided a combination of direct service and nonprofit management in various community health settings, primarily throughout the greater SF Bay Area. In her clinical practice, Jill draws from a variety of theoretical frameworks using a strengths-based and compassionate lens. She primarily utilizes motivational interviewing, harm reduction, trauma-informed, internal family systems, and behavioral modalities to help patients achieve their goals for treatment. She is a member of the Pink Care Team at the Women’s Health Center. In her free time Jill enjoys gardening, bike riding and spending time with her friends and family.
