Genesee Villalta completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California where she received her dual bachelors in Neuroscience and Spanish. After graduating, she gained healthcare experience in medicine as an EMT and as a phlebotomist at a level two trauma center. She then obtained her Master of Science Physician Assistant from California State University – Monterey Bay. While at CSUMB, she had the opportunity to gain experience in family medicine at East Cliff during one of her clinical rotations. It was with this experience that Genesee developed a passion for community health and Santa Cruz. Genesee is a firm believer of holistic care and loves educating her patients about pathophysiology, diagnoses, medications, and preventative care. It is her goal to illustrate complex problems with simple explanations. Genesee is fluent in Spanish. 

When not in the clinic, Genesee enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, running, painting, traveling, and of course, playing with her dog, Buddy.
