Emma Kleck, NP

Emma (she/her) is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and started working at the Women’s Health Center in Fall 2019 on the Pink Care Team. She received a Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon, followed by a Masters of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner training at Yale University. While at Yale, Emma completed the diabetes management concentration, received a plant-based nutrition certificate from eCornell, and helped to lead a lecture series and activist group on social and health justice within the New Haven community. She provides primary care for the entire lifespan, and enjoys educating and empowering patients to take an active role in their health. Her passion is diabetes management and nutrition counseling, as well as substance use and mental health. Emma is also X-waivered and can prescribe suboxone. She was drawn to SCCH because of the organization’s team-based approach to medical and mental healthcare and the focus that it has on centering patient and community voices. She is a Santa Cruz native and is ecstatic to be serving the community just blocks from her high school.

When not at work, Emma leads an active life outdoors through trail running, cycling, and swimming and balances it all with baking fresh sourdough and creating new vegan recipes in the kitchen. She provides patient care in both English and Spanish, and is always working on expanding her language ability.
