LIVE OAK >> The rain didn’t damper Saturday’s rally at East Cliff Family Medical Centers to support the Affordable Care Act and enroll in plans through the exchange before the Jan. 31 deadline for 2017.
Peter Lee, the executive director of Covered California, told the crowd of about 100 people that there will not be an immediate impact to the federal health care plan by the recent presidential election. Many have raised concerns over the future of the ACA after Donald Trump won his bid for the Oval Office on Nov. 8.
“What’s in place for 2017 is in the bank,” Lee said. “Politics is always uncertain.”
