We wish to thank and recognize select members of the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors for standing with Planned Parenthood today and against the proposal for a politically-motivated, unnecessary and costly state audit. We are especially grateful for Supervisor Ryan Coonerty’s call for additional funding to strengthen Planned Parenthood, and the subsequent votes of support by Supervisors Zach Friend, John Leopold and Bruce McPherson. Our local partnership with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte provides health care access to low-income people of all genders in Santa Cruz County, ensuring a healthier, more equitable and prosperous community for all. 

These Supervisors sent a clear message that they place a high value on the compassion, commitment and services provided by Planned Parenthood. Thanks also to all our friends and colleagues for writing letters, attending today’s Board meeting, and voicing their support.
