Lucy Rodriguez, ASW

Lucy Rodriguez (She/They/Lucy) is a multiethnic Associate Social Worker currently serving in her third year as a Behavioral Health Provider at  the Santa Cruz Community Health Live Oak Health Center. A native of Santa Cruz County, Lucy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Monterey Bay. 

With a decade of experience working with diverse populations in Santa Cruz County, Lucy has developed a strong foundation in social justice, trauma-informed care, and prioritizing the needs of individuals with marginalized identities. 

Lucy’s practice is rooted in the belief that each patient is the expert of their own life. She works collaboratively to help individuals align with their core values and authentic selves. Compassionate and curious, Lucy utilizes a flexible and client centered approach, drawing from a variety of tools and frameworks to support patients in navigating the intersections of their identity, environment, and lived experiences. 

A Neurodivergent Affirming Clinician, Lucy is committed to working with adults from all backgrounds and is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for patients under 18 years old. 

Outside of her professional life, Lucy enjoys exploring the world through art, music, food, performance, and travel to distant places.
