Kayla Weiss is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined Santa Cruz Community Health in October of 2016 as a Complex Care Case Manager. Kayla has her Masters in Social Work from Cal State East Bay. Her Bachelors of Arts are in Women’s and Gender Studies (with a Queer Studies minor) and Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University. As an LCSW, she is proud to work in a comprehensive and integrated setting that focuses on providing equitable health care for all!
Coming from a background in anti-violence work in Sonoma County, Kayla’s social work values are strongly rooted in feminism and advocacy for marginalized communities. Some of Kayla’s therapy focus is on working with anxiety, depression, utilizing CBT and DBT, TF-CBT, aging and life transitions, supporting neurodiverse experiences, and gender and sexuality.
Kayla brings an empowerment and strengths-based approach to her practice, kindness, and non-judgement. Kayla is on the Orange Care Team at the Women’s Health Center in her Behavioral Health Provider role. In her personal life, you may find her walking her dogs down the beach, exploring the natural beauty of Santa Cruz County, or trying a new local restaurant.
