Brenda Gonzalez, MSW (she/her/ella) is a bilingual mental health professional with nearly four years of experience supporting individuals across all age groups. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from San José State University and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from UC Santa Cruz, where her studies sparked a deep interest in ethics and a lasting curiosity about the world and human behavior. 

Brenda began her work at Santa Cruz Community Health Centers in 2017, returning in 2023 after completing her graduate studies. Her clinical experience includes school settings, hospitals, and hybrid roles that span both clinics and educational environments. She specializes in treating anxiety and depression using evidence-based practices like CBT and TF-CBT, and is especially passionate about supporting youth, adolescents, and the Latino community. 

Outside of work, Brenda enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and cuddling with her two furry companions, Kitty and Django.
