Robert “Bob” Taren joined the Board in March 2024 and is the current Board Vice-Chair & Staff Enterprise Risk Management Committee’s Board Representative. A dedicated attorney, Bob has spent his career representing low-income and disabled individuals, helping them navigate state and federal systems to access financial, housing, and healthcare assistance. A Creighton University School of Law graduate, Bob began his career with Vermont Legal Aid and later founded a private practice focused on injured workers and Social Security Disability Benefits. Throughout his career, Bob has also volunteered with Senior Legal Services and served on boards, including the ACLU, Santa Cruz County Mobile Home Commission, and the County Civil Service Commission. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
