Santa Cruz Community Health is committed to ensuring that individuals and families  have access to high-quality, affordable health care, regardless of their ability to pay.

Proposition 44 could impact community health centers and the patients who depend on them for essential health care services. Santa Cruz Community Health joins community health centers across California in opposing Proposition 44 and raising awareness about its potential impact on access to care.

Why Santa Cruz Community Health Opposes Proposition 44

Community health centers like Santa Cruz Community Health provide medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and other essential services to communities that often face barriers to accessing care.

Proposition 44 could place additional restrictions on community health centers and affect their ability to use resources where they are needed most. These restrictions could make it more difficult for health centers to maintain services, staffing, and access to care for the patients and communities they serve.
